Between 2016 and 2020, Melina J's music was released through the entertainment company Cymellia Limited (Hong Kong), which Melina founded. Unfortunately, due to the 2020-2022 pandemic, Cymellia Limited had to stop doing business and ultimately closed forever. The music, which was released under Cymellia Limited as a label, had to be removed from music streaming services.
In May 2024, the music from Mélina J and from Golden Tiger was re-released on music streaming apps. Mélina J and Golden Tiger now make music as independent hobbyist artists.
Melina J has spent the following 2 years (2022-2024) writing 2 science fiction novels : "Just a Game" and its sequel "A Bottle in the Ocean", which were originally posted on her blog, 1 chapter per week.
"Just a Game" was released as a novel on 27 March 2025 (and was released as an Amazon Kindle e-book on 7 July 2025).
After a 7 year hiatus, Melina J has started releasing new music in 2026.
